What started as a challenge became a debut: “Hold You” by SoylentGreen
SoylentGreen joins sounds2feel Records with his debut single “Hold You” – a melodic Drum & Bass track born from a creative challenge. Out November 21 on all platforms. Here’s the story behind the release.

With “Hold You”, German Drum & Bass producer SoylentGreen celebrates his first official release – out on November 21, 2025 via sounds2feel Records. And while it’s his debut, the track already comes with a story worth telling.
“Hold You” was born out of a Mute Challenge, during a self-organized producer bootcamp where all participants received the same sample – but weren’t allowed to listen to it.
The goal: build a full track concept in just 90 minutes, without headphones.
“The result got surprisingly good feedback, so I kept working on it after we got back and eventually added vocals. They just happened to fit really well.”
What started as a spontaneous experiment turned into a fully produced track – featuring vocal samples, iconic TR-909 percussion sounds, and a clear melodic flow.
“I didn’t have the chance to think about the mood or emotion – the key was already set. But I’m quite proud of the melodies and variations.”
Who is SoylentGreen?
A long-time fan of electronic music and a fresh face behind the DAW, SoylentGreen only started producing in late 2024.
“My wife downloaded FL Studio and started playing around with it. I kept giving advice until she got tired of it and told me to learn it myself.”
That turned into a shared passion – for DJing, producing, and building a global network of like-minded artists. From Twitch streams in Cyprus and gigs in the Netherlands, Lübeck and Leicester, the journey has already taken some unexpected turns.
Musically, SoylentGreen’s roots lie in Hardstyle and Hardcore – but Drum & Bass became his main focus around 2018/2019.
“Producing and DJing help me unwind after work. I like turning random ideas into something musical. And when I DJ, I love taking people on a journey that lets them forget about everyday life for a while.”
The name SoylentGreen? Inspired by the dystopian 1973 film.
“One of the best and most disturbing films ever made. I won’t spoil it – just go watch it.”
A first label release with sounds2feel Records
“Hold You” marks his first official track release – and the start of his journey with sounds2feel Records.
“Dank je wel Raiieda ;-)” – that’s how the connection started.
Why sounds2feel?
“The professional first impression, from the website to the quick and structured feedback.”
The process was fast, honest, and smooth:
“Exciting, because there was so much new stuff to learn. But I felt very supported.”
What’s next?
SoylentGreen is already deep into the next steps:
“My wife and I have a collab in the works – we’re just still arguing about one instrument. And I accidentally created a Liquid DnB track that’s almost done.”
He’s also working on a rough remix for “Raiieda – How”, and has “way too many half-finished projects” – including what he calls “a bunch of absolutely bottomless bootlegs.”
His goal?
“Just to keep having fun. But honestly – if 'Hold You' gets even one sale, I’ll be happy.”
“Hold You” drops November 21, 2025 on all major platforms.
A track that wasn’t planned – but feels just right.
Welcome to sounds2feel, SoylentGreen.
