Raiieda and Afro Cowboy deliver emotion and rhythm with “Pains”
On October 10, 2025, Raiieda returns with her new single “Pains” – a collaboration with South African vocalist Afro Cowboy, whose voice immediately stands out for its raw emotion and depth.
The two artists connected through music – and out of that came their first collaboration. Afro Cowboy, known for his feature on “Chom Zam” (Ace no Tebza), delivers heartfelt vocals for “Pains,” written and recorded in South Africa, while the track was produced by Raiieda in the Netherlands.
Sung partly in Xhosa, the lyrics speak about unspoken struggles, silent pain, and the power of prayer. Afro Cowboy reflects on a mother praying for her children, and on the emotional weight many carry without ever voicing it:
“Somethings we don’t talk about – we die inside.”
Musically, “Pains” is a melodic Afro House track that leaves space for the voice while creating a warm, driving energy throughout. The production feels both grounded and uplifting – balancing emotion with rhythm in a way that resonates long after the track ends.
